Kensington Place

Grandparents will move mountains for their grandchildren. In the case of our Kensington Place clients, they added an extra hour to their daily commutes just to live blocks away from their little loves. While some empty nesters dramatically downsize from where they raised their kids, our clients knew that they still needed plenty of space for everyone to feel comfortable and right at home. They kept most of their original house’s furniture, so JBT Designs focused on making the floor plan and bathrooms perfect for everyone’s needs.

We created a spa-like sanctuary for our clients to unwind and wash off the day’s hectic schedule in their primary bathroom. Since the bathroom’s footprint is on the smaller side, we made sure to utilize wall space to provide the necessary amount of storage.

For the guest bathroom, that the grandchildren mostly use, we added bright pops of color and accessories, a beautiful soft blue subway tile on the shower walls and a textured floor tile with a cozy sweater vibe.

In the powder room, which doubles as a full bathroom, we added the perfect dose of elegance with a dramatic and timeless floral Scalamandre wallpaper, blue and white accents and a picket shaped white tile for the shower walls.
